Student Registry and Immigration Compliance Officer

We are seeking a Student Registry Immigration and Compliance Officer to join our friendly and dynamic Admissions Team.

The Student Registry Services provides services to students, faculty, staff and other services. The Student Registry Services is responsible for all academic administration relating to the student journey from registration through to graduation.
About You
Educated to degree level education or equivalent qualification or experience required. Degree or experience in Admissions role, Higher Education or similar (desirable). You will have previous experience of working in an academic administrative position for at least 3 years, preferably within an international company. You will have excellent written, verbal, interpersonal communication skills and experience of delivering good customer service, be a team player with a positive attitude. Knowledge and experience of Microsoft office, Outlook and Salesforce, with the ability to work accurately and effectively to high pressure deadlines.
Your Responsibilities
- Advising students on UK visa requirements and assisting them with their application
- Providing programme administration support for both BBA and MSc degree programmes including support to Glion students, faculty and other Glion student support staff
- Assisting with the planning, co-ordination and successful implementation of Arrivals and Induction Days
- Reception Cover; Provide a 5* service to all Glion London students, staff and visitors at the Glion London reception
Advising and supporting students about UK visa requirements
- Support new and returning students with visa applications, including reviewing visa application supporting documents, and drafting and issuing CAS for Student Route students
- Regularly review and update the visa process documents and email guidance to students, ensuring they are clear and in line with UKVI requirements
- Advise and remind current Student Route visa students of their compliance requirements. Including monitoring contact points through attendance to class and advising students when they are at risk of being reported to the UKVI for non-compliance.
- Advise current students on their visa related queries
Liaise with UKVI and other Government Agencies
- Review process and procedure for Visa applications and propose updates and changes in compliance with UKVI Student Route
- Monitor the Basic Compliance Criteria and report monthly to the Student Registry Services and Admissions Manager and Campus Director
- Prepare and monitor the procedure for the arrival of UKVI Officers on the campus and be ready to provide all the data requirements and support the visit from arrival to departure
- Monitor and manage with Student Registry Services and Admissions Manager and Campus Director the dates for the BCA, Application for review of License, Annual CAS Allocation and Premium “customer” dates to ensure timely applications and follow-up
- Level 1 user for the UKVI SMS with responsibility for assigning CAS’s
- Foster a good relationship with UKVI to ensure a quick response to queries or to the resolution of issues
- Ensure all relevant parties are kept informed of UKVI requirements and processes. In particular, the requirements for Student Route compliance
- When required, provide additional student information to support the visa process
Provision of academic administration
- Responding to enquiries from academic and administrative colleagues in a professional and custom focused manner
- Operating Glion systems and processes for allocating students to their course choices, entering details of assessments, marks etc. onto the student records system, in collaboration with teaching staff.
- Liaising with Registry Services as required to ensure maintenance of Student Records
- Service formal committees, exam and award boards, staff and student exchange meetings etc. as required
- Support the Registry Services with administrative tasks as required, including attendance monitoring, exam planning and preparation and mitigating circumstances,
- Cover Reception as required
Arrivals and Induction
- Assist with Arrivals Day and the check-in process
- Ensure Medical/special academic needs and financial remarks(scholarship/discounts) are registered in the SIS database
- Provide daily intake statistics (new student headcount)
- Monitor the collection of missing documents and apply disciplinary sanction when appropriate
- For returning students, check passports, process late arrivals and check visas
