The skills and experience you need to succeed:
Must be speaking and writing English plus on of this langueges: Spanish/Italian/Polish/Latvian/Portuguese
They will be a problem solver with excellent customer service and communication skills.Work from home will be required.
To provide advice, support, guidance and information on personal, predominantly wellbeing-related issues to students at each stage of the learner pathway: pre-entry, on-course and exit. This will include supporting students with emotional distress or hardship.
To provide a triage service for students experiencing mental health difficulties and refer on to appropriate services, either within or external to the University, or provide support to the student as appropriate.
To provide advice, guidance and information to academic programme staff on supporting students to overcome personal barriers to learning.
Follow up any students considered to be 'a cause for concern' and take appropriate action when advised to increase their chances of successful completion (including effective liaison with other staff, e.g. Student Information and Administration team, Personal Tutors / Academic Coaches, Student Immigration Compliance and Advice, and other teams within Student Support Services)
