Job description

About the role

You will be responsible for the timely and effective delivery and improvement of the student records systems, data and processes which underpin the student life-cycle from registration to graduation. Working as part of a team you will manage the University's Student Records on our record system (Tribal SITS Client & eVision), examining the data trends and taking a proactive approach to meet those projected needs. You will also have the opportunity to liaise with a wide range of stakeholders, including students, academic colleagues, and departmental administrative staff, and provide advice and guidance on the University's Senate Regulations. The role will give you the opportunity to develop processes by working in partnership with those who carry out these processes and identify short, medium and long term changes that can benefit the service.

About you

Being educated to degree standard, or with equivalent vocational experience, you will also have gained knowledge of student lifecycle administration and the processes that underpin this. Having experience of managing records in a large scale database is essential and should be combined with knowledge of setting up and maintaining records along with developing reports both for auditing purposes and to be used by Senior Stakeholders .
Customer service experience will be required along with experience of delivering projects as you must be able to improve systems and processes for the benefit of the customer/user. You will be able to organise yourself and others, balancing the need for routine tasks and other projects; this will require you to possess excellent communication skills. Being able to understand and apply regulations and policies to decision making will be key as you will be interpreting data to identify trends to define short to long term objectives. It is important that the students' perspective is considered at all times and you will be able to work this into every aspect of the role, ensuring this focus is taken into problem solving and the customer experience.
