Student Placement - Technical Project Management

We are reinforcing our team by offering a 12 Month Student Placement (£18,500 per year) at Blythe Valley Park, Solihull starting in September 2023.
The project teams are responsible for developing the electric drive actuators that support both front and rear wheel steering products. Within the project management team, you will play an important role in planning and controlling complex development and integration that requires the collaboration of multiple international teams.
Your tasks:
- Support the technical project managers in planning, monitoring and controlling projects.
- You will learn about the key measurement indicators of a project and shall support gathering and analysing data that gives vital information about project health.
- You will learn about the risk, issue and change management processes on projects and shall support the project manager in driving these with the development teams.
- Prepare project reports and gate reviews.
- You will shadow the technical project managers and learn how they control teams and projects.
Your profile:
- Student on track for final result of a 2:1 or 1st.
- Outgoing and confident with a professional manner and approach as well as able to demonstrate you are a self-starter with a proactive approach.
- Ability to work at both detailed and high level, multi-tasking and prioritize.
- Data analysis skills and data visualization skills and knowledge of MS Office suite.
- Willingness to learn new tools and methodologies.
