We are a Supported Living organisation that is offer student placements to those currently undergoing Business/Social Work Degrees. We are looking for Interns to join our team and contribute to delivering sustainability as a responsible independent person. This is a fantastic opportunity for the successful candidate to work on the implementation of QCRS' development, expansion, and implementation of our education initiative
At QCRS, we welcome all walks of life, whether they may be Physically Impaired, Mentally Disabled, Learning Difficulties, Ex-offenders, Community Interventions, Asylum Seekers, ADHD, Challenging Behaviour etc. We offer a person-centred structure and support plan to assist the individual in their personal development and growth. We provide support from maintaining a tenancy, taking part in education, training, and employment, to providing counselling and numerous other services. We have a referral team that manages new placements, assisting with risk assessments, pathway plans and care plans.
What will the internship consist of:
· Learning to be skilled in working with children & young people
· Understanding the purpose Health & Social Care Act 2012. /Care Act 2014.
· Attending social work meetings, learn how to make a positive contribution to them.
· Developing a good knowledge of a Safeguarding and Social Care Skills
· Work directly with children and provide a clear and accurate assessment of the needs of the young person and their family in each case.
· Conduct interviews, develop observations and gather information from children, families and other agencies as directed by the Team Manager.
· Devise, implement and review plans, including the development and management of protection plans within a child protection framework, care, and pathway plans.
· Acting as an advocate for young people in the establishment and providing support, guidance, and direct work to young people.
· Work collaboratively with a range of professionals and agencies ensuring the overall needs of young people are met whilst in the establishment.
· Gain valuable work experience

Salary: £25.00 per week

- 12 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
- Weekend availability
Ability to commute/relocate:
- CROYDON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Education:
- Bachelor's (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- DBS on Update System (preferred)
