Applications are invited for a Student Information Officer working in the i-zone and Student Information team within the Library and Learning Resources Department, based at our Medway Campus. The i-zone is the student facing team, handing enquiries from students on all aspects of university life. The service is busy and high profile and is based within the Library and Learning Resources Department.
The i-zone and Student Information team acts as the first point of contact for all non-academic student enquiries. It refers enquiries that cannot be resolved at first point of contact, to the specialist professional services departments that it supports.
The role requires an active and intelligent approach to accessing and understanding information available on all University processes.
The Student Information Officers work on a front desk in addition to taking telephone calls, answering emails and Live Chat. The role requires confidence and the ability to be able to make accurate and informed decisions to answer student enquiries.

The role holder will be required to have a flexible approach to working hours in order to ensure that we cover busy periods with weekend and evening working, as well as Bank Holidays including the University Christmas closure period.
You will have experience of delivering excellent customer service in a frontline role such as a help desk or call centre environment. Educated to A level, you will have excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills in addition to a positive and helpful attitude.
