Main Duties & Responsibilities:

· Under the direction of the Student Immigration Manager, to act as part of a team of staff responsible for issuing Confirmation of Acceptance of Studies (CAS) on behalf of one of the Duke’s colleges or schools.

· Liaising with families, educational agents, and admission teams to ensure all required documents are received and processed to enable the issuing of a CAS.

· To communicate effectively in a timely fashion with parents and educational agents regarding the issuing of the CAS.

· To support and assist the departments Manager during any external inspection of student immigration documents.

· Contributing to internal policies and procedures relating to immigration compliance.

· Part of the team who will act as main point of contact for sales staff, college staff, agents and parents regarding CAS process.

Technical knowledge:

· Good IT skills and the ability to quickly learn new systems.

· Have experience of using student information systems or the ability to learn.

· Good communication skills, verbally and written.

Terms:

Hours – 9am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday (full time 40 hours per week) with 30-minute lunch break.

Holiday entitlement – 25 days plus bank holidays. Only a maximum of 5 days may be taken in peek CAS issuing season during the months June, July and August. Holiday period – September to August.

Salary: normally staff will start at the bottom of the scale unless they have experience in CAS/Visa work.
