Student Residence Reception

We are looking for the ideal candidate to join our team and fill a reception position at a student hall of residence in the Whalley Range area. The hall is managed directly by Flax and Co, and the role would involve working at an on-site office while reporting to the main office and halls of residence manager.

This is a part time position, 20 - 25 hours per week Mon - Fri.

You would be responsible for:

• Building tasks to support halls of residence manager in operation of building
• Supervision of day-to-day activities at hall
• Point of contact for students at all times
• Answering calls and assisting all tenants and visitors at the office
• Assisting with on-site operation related activities
• Receiving post/parcels
• Greeting contractors and supervising work
• Proactively monitoring and inspecting halls of residence for any maintenance issues, and supervising cleaning work

Requirements & Skills:

• Willingness to learn, take instruction and assist wherever needed
• Logical thinking with creative problem-solving aptitude
• Self-motivated
• Organised
• Able to demonstrate initiative along with a ‘can do’ approach
• Knowledge of Office/Google Drive
• Previous experience in customer service/reception related roles
• High level of English

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Salary: £9.50-£10.50 per hour
