Do you have excellent communication and interpersonal skills? Are you able to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders?
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Student Enterprise Officer to join our Research and Enterprise Department. This is a varied role that will work within the Student Enterprise Service based in Sparkhouse Incubation Centre and will play an important role in providing guidance and support to students/graduates who are looking to start a business or be self-employed, as well as undertaking administrative duties to support the wider team.
Student Enterprise is based at the University of Lincoln and offers students from all disciplines and levels the opportunity to explore the potential of generating ideas, running their own business and developing practical business skills to enhance their employability and career prospects.
As Student Enterprise Officer, you will be a crucial first point of contact for students interested in developing, or already running a business, offering specialist advice and training. You'll also be involved in a range of programmes designed to help startups develop and grow, from workshops and mentoring, to pitch competitions and networking events.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual to support a key strategic area of growth for the University, contributing to making a difference to our students/graduates and their futures through enterprise and entrepreneurship. This will often involve working flexibly to tight deadlines and occasionally supporting the wider Business Incubation team’s events and activities for our wider business community.
Situated in the heart of a beautiful and historic city, the University of Lincoln offers a fantastic working environment, within walking distance from the train and bus stations. You will receive 30 days annual leave (plus university closure days) pro rata, discounted gym membership and access to many local discounts and benefits.
