Job description
The role holder undertakes duties in support the Student Data Manager in the enrolment of students, the provision of essential services such as their library card, and in reporting on student data and monitoring quality to ensure accurate student records for both non-matriculated students and MSt students across the University. He/she ensures that student data is correctly maintained, providing student records and accurate and timely statistical reporting of student data for internal and external purposes (e.g. HEFCE, HESA, HE-BCI).
Key responsibilities:
Acts as point of contact for the Business Information Team, performs regular quality checks on student data, and identifies and investigates data anomalies rectifying where possible, provides support to Student Data Manager and Business Information Team to ensure compliance with statutory student record obligations.
Works with the Student Data Manager and Student Data Co-ordinator to ensure all courses and units are accurately recorded, and students are enrolled on relevant units. Records grades against enrolments and identifies those approved for awards, contacts students where statutory information is missing, performs records maintenance.
Manages the CamSIS worklist, identifies and resolves anomalies, manages the processing of student library cards in collaboration with the University Library and the Card office, supports the upload to students to the VLE, produces ad hoc Certificates of Attendance.
Supports the production of various reports and maintenance of data for, for example, Qualent Return to the BIT team, Annual Report and HE-BCI, CLA entries, provides reporting service to ICE colleagues, departments, degree committees and colleges as needed, delivers statistical reports to committees as required.
