Under the direction of the Head of Student Services and Designated Safeguarding Lead, the Head of Student Support & SEND will be responsible for the management of all cross college SEND support and EHCP provision. The post holder will operate across the College group, working closely with academic teams to ensure an inclusive and accessible curriculum offer.
The successful candidate will be the operational lead for the provision of services for students with special educational needs and disabilities, including consultation processes, transition arrangements, on programme and progression support arrangements.
This is a challenging position working within a busy environment, the candidates must be able to demonstrate an ability to work accurately under pressure, displaying excellent internal and external professional communication skills. Candidates will have a proven ability to lead and manage teams who deliver SEND services, and should have excellent organisational, people, and IT skills. The successful candidates will be required to be agile in their approach as the needs of the service grows and evolves.
