- Collaborate with clients to understand their thermal management system requirements, objectives, and challenges.
- Utilize advanced 1D simulation tools, such as GT-Suite, Amesim, or similar software packages, to model, analyze, and optimize thermal management systems.
- Develop and validate simulation models, incorporating relevant physical phenomena, including heat transfer, fluid flow, and thermodynamics.
- Conduct sensitivity analysis and parametric studies to evaluate the impact of different design variables on system performance.
- Identify opportunities for design improvements and propose innovative solutions to enhance thermal efficiency, reliability, and overall system performance.
- Analyze simulation results and generate comprehensive reports to communicate findings, recommendations, and design guidelines to clients.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance during the development and validation phases of new products or system upgrades.
- Stay up to date with the latest advancements in 1D simulation techniques, thermal management technologies, and industry trends.
- Collaborate with client engineering teams to integrate simulation results into the product development process and validate simulations against physical tests.
- Deliver training sessions and workshops to clients to enhance their understanding of thermal management systems and simulation analysis techniques.
- Provide ongoing support and consultation to clients, addressing their questions, concerns, and technical challenges.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
- 5-8+ years of experience in thermo-fluid and/or mechanical systems.
- 3+ years’ experience with 1D simulation tools such as GTSuite, Kuli or Amesim, Matlab/Simulink, etc.
- Strong background in fundamentals of fluid dynamics, heat transfer, thermodynamics, and mechanics.
- Experience with validation and experimental measurements using Design of Experiments.
- Experience with PDM tools (Windchill, KOLA, PROTOM etc.) for building variant combinations and BOM’s.
- Experience with modeling and simulating automotive cooling systems, thermal management, and mechanical/control systems.
- Coding experience with Python, and controls and software experience.
- Experience with Git and version control methods.
