DESCRIPTION:
We are recruiting for a Senior Structural Engineer with extensive experience in structural
surveys & design to join a growing dynamic business. The role will deliver high quality structural
advice and solutions for our Commercial and residential clients. The successful candidate will
be passionate about digital technology and the benefits it brings to our profession. We actively

DUTIES:
- Inspection of all types of buildings and structures and the preparation of digital reports,
live on site
- Preparation of specifications for remedial works
- Providing technical support for Buildings Insurance claims, including subsidence,
fire and storm damage
- Completing site visits for residential and commercial building projects using digital
technology
- Delivering small to medium design projects
- Delivering design calculations for buildings insurance claims, including subsidence,
fire, impact, flooding and storm damage
- Reporting to the Managing Director and providing progress reports
- Developing new ideas to help shape the future of the business
EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE:
- Good degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering (essential)
- Several years’ experience in structural surveys of buildings (essential)
- Several years post graduate design experience (essential)
- Proficiency in IT systems (essential)
- A general understanding of building structures and materials including steel, masonry,
concrete and timber (essential)
- MICE or MIStructE (desirable)

- Car owner and UK driving license, able to travel to site
SYSTEMS CAPABILITY:
- All aspects of Microsoft Office
- Industry standard structural design software such as TEDDS
- Proficient in the use of AutoCad
- GoReport (training provided)
WORKING HOURS:
- 37.5 hours per day with flexible hybrid working
Location– Southwest England. Ideally the Bristol and surrounding areas.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: From £45,000.00 per year
Ability to commute/relocate:
- South West London, Greater London: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Education:
- Bachelor's (preferred)
Experience:
- Structural Engineering: 3 years (preferred)
