RECRUITMENTiQ is working in partnership with a Civil and Structural engineering consultancy with over 30 years’ experience providing a professional service for a wide range of projects throughout Scotland and the UK.
We are currently seeking a Structural Engineering Technician to join our growing team in Aberdeen and/or Inverness.
Key Responsibilities
- Effective and efficient operator of AutoCAD. Revit experience would be beneficial but not essential.
- Having or working towards Engineering Technician status or equivalent through a recognised professional institution
- A good general knowledge of building construction.
- Producing neat and readable technical drawings on a wide array of construction and engineering projects
- Detailed designs and production of reports
- Communicating with internal and external stakeholders
- Accurately interpreting engineers mark ups and drawings
- Liaising effectively with the design team
Skills, Experience, and Qualifications
- Qualification in a relevant technical subject including elements of CAD/Drafting (HNC/HND or equivalent).
- Numerate with a focus on problem solving.
- Some design ability with an application of engineering principles
- Experience of working on infrastructure projects and/or timber structures would be beneficial but not essential.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
- Commercial awareness in dealings with clients, proposals, and projects.

- Salaries are normally reviewed on 1st September each year.
- Any overtime worked would be paid at a rate of 1.6 x hourly rate.

- Our working hours are 8:00am - 5:00pm, Monday to Thursday and 8:00am-3:30pm every second Friday, with the other Friday off as part of our 9-day fortnight’s policy.
