Job Description Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Consumer Business Management team.
Job Description
At Lloyds Banking Group, we have a clear purpose; to help Britain prosper and to become the best bank for our customers.
We're on the mission to build the bank of the future, and we need your help to do it. We're redefining what a bank is from the inside out. Our technology, culture, and our mind-set’s changing to craft a true engineering-led organisation.
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Consumer Business Management team for an energetic and intellectually curious strategy & planning manager to join our team on our mission to provide a best-in-class service offering to both the Consumer Relationships & Consumer Lending Platforms.
As the role of Business Management evolves, we're looking to provide a more strategic approach to both the ‘what’ and ‘how’ we support our Platform teams, therefore we're looking for someone who can bring fresh insight and perspectives to the role and help us build upon the solid foundations we have already put in place.
You'll work collaboratively to support both the Strategic Workforce Planning workstream and the Strategic Insight & Alignment workstream. You'll be accountable for providing critical analysis on our strategy across our Platforms and taking ownership for crafting insight as we embark on or next transition of ‘changing together’ and our Technology & Data strategy.
Here's where you'll make a difference:
- Drive focus and unity on all aspects of Strategic Workforce Planning; collaborating with our customers within each Platform to help shape how they achieve their local workforce plans for 2023 and beyond
- Align business delivery plans to provide well-rounded and executable roadmaps across Consumer Platforms, highlighting successes and concerns along the way
- Aggregate views on critical initiatives such as Productivity Metrics, Tech Optimisation, OKR’s, etc and articulating the impact of these models in a way that is understood by all
- Take ownership for crafting insight aligned to the Group’s operating model through the quarterly business reviews and 4YOP; supporting the wider team to evidence progress to key customers
- Provide thought leadership and create briefing & communications materials to evangelise our vision and strategy that can influence a variety of audiences
Have you got experience in the following?
Essential:
- Solving sophisticated problems; making sense of complicated and sometimes contradictory information, demonstrating lateral thinking and approaching problems with curiosity
- Data Assessment; can analyse quantitative data from multiple source to find patterns and make recommendations
- Impactful storytelling; producing a variety of outputs to support executive decision-making and help articulate our strategy to key customers
- Clear communicator; with a particular focus on building and nurturing positive relationships across audiences of all levels
- Strong collaborator; able to build partnerships across a range of areas and work collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives.
We’d love to hear from you if you…
- Have a natural passion for improving processes and utilising new technology
- Want to support senior executive decision making and overall strategy development
- Enjoy solving hugely variable and exciting topics
- Can bring a collaborative, consultancy style approach, to the role.
So what can we offer you in return?
You'll receive a package that includes:
- Discretionary performance share award
- Private Medical Insurance
- Generous pension contribution
- 30 days leave plus bank holidays
- Flexible benefits
We work in hybrid ways which involves colleagues spending at least two days per week or 40% of their time at one of our office sites. We're happy to consider agile working requests.
We're committed to building a workforce which reflects the diversity of the customers and communities we serve, and to building an inclusive environment where all our colleagues can be themselves and succeed on merit.
We're also passionate about diversity and equal opportunity with industry recognition across gender, ethnicity, disability, LGBTQ+ and families. And, being disability positive, reasonable adjustments can be accommodated in our Recruitment process, just let us know.
So if you’d like to be part of our inclusive values-based culture, and want to be stretched and fulfilled, we’ll help you build a career that will make a difference to you and our customers.
Together we make it possible!
At Lloyds Banking Group, we're driven by a clear purpose; to help Britain prosper. Across the Group, our colleagues are focused on making a difference to customers, businesses and communities. We keep your data safe. So, we'll only ever ask you to provide confidential or sensitive information once you have formally been invited along to an interview or accepted a verbal offer to join us which is when we run our background checks. We'll always explain what we need and why, with any request coming from a trusted Lloyds Banking Group person.
We're focused on creating a values-led culture and are committed to building a workforce which reflects the diversity of the customers and communities we serve. Together we’re building a truly inclusive workplace where all of our colleagues have the opportunity to make a real difference.
