Job description
The Strategy, Planning & Transformation team is recruiting for Sr. Manager, Strategy role. We are a part of the Office of the CEO and support senior leaders on key business programs, opportunities and analyses ranging from blue ocean strategy, competitive analysis, operating model and culture to name a few. They will support annual planning activities, provide day-to-day leadership on key initiatives and deliverables, coordinate activities for key stakeholders, liaise with internal and external partners and manage and track progress against key objectives. This role will report directly into the Director, Strategy, Planning & Transformation and will be a people leader.

Accountabilities
- Support the development of company-wide strategy plans, annual planning process and business reviews
- Collaborate with a cross-functional group of internal stakeholders to source data, perform analyses, share results and align on recommendations
- Develop and use key strategy frameworks to structure complex analysis with ease and use an analytical, data-driven approach to base recommendations
- Develop materials to support the ACG strategic planning process including materials for senior management, the Board of directors, and other internal stakeholders as it relates to the team’s mandate
- Liaise and work closely with the Portfolio enablement and Project management teams to ensure tie-in to our strategic plan and help support its operationalizations
- Prepare effective PowerPoint presentations and Word memos summarizing background, risks, key recommendations, and next steps
- Develop quarterly updates on progress against the goals set in the strategic plan to ensure we are on track, and identify + analyze opportunities and risks
- Develop and lead a high-performing team
- Other accountabilities as assigned
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience in corporate strategy/consulting and the insurance sector is considered a strong asset
- Strong communication skills and story-telling capabilities, i.e., communicate complex ideas effectively and distill data into actionable insights
- Must be motivated to learn, a problem solver with demonstrated organizational skills
- Exceptional Word and PowerPoint skills and advanced skills in Excel
- Experience working with and presenting to the senior leadership teams is a strong asset
- Must be able to work independently and be detail-oriented
- Exemplifies ACG values and enjoys collaborating with multiple levels of an organization
- Ability to work effectively with a broad range of stakeholders with an ability to inspire trust and achieve results by working with other
- University degree in business management or related discipline; MBA graduate would be an asset
