About the role and the teams you will be part of

The UK strategy role is focused in enacting this vision for local brands with a strong focus on purposeful activations delivered with innovation and commercial impact.

Yorkshire Building Society: As a building society, YBS operates for the benefit of its members, focusing on their financial well-being. Given the cost-of-living context, their brand purpose of Real Help with Real Life has never been so relevant. It requires a strategist that is inquisitive about understand audiences and can synthesis audience research into powerful insights that guides ideas and media planning across across the marketing mix. This will include identifying channel opportunities to power performance marketing alongside working collaboratively with agency partners to build brand propositions.

Sage, a prominent accounting software provider with a 40-year history in the UK market, aims to strengthen their brand and generate demand for their solutions among small businesses. It requires a skilled 360 media strategist to provide paid media insights, collaborate with performance marketing and ecommerce planners, and develop comprehensive media guidelines and plans to cover the entire marketing funnel.

Government. Mindshare handles the strategy and planning across the key departments of Cabinet Office and Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS.) This role will support a Strategy Partner in developing behaviour change strategies across a range of campaign and pitch briefs as required. It requires a strategist to contribute to thought leadership and broader problem-solving challenges both in assistance to the strategy partner and in leading brief responses. Our work has a positive impact to some of the most vulnerable citizens in our society or in driving investment in our economy

Your core responsibilities

  • Leads strategic responses with the account team, ensuring the highest strategic and executional output
  • Ensure the strategic approach runs through the media plan, delivering against the business objectives
  • Develop an empathetic understanding of audiences that unlock insights
  • Focus on Innovation: Working with your teams develop and activate innovation opportunities that are aligned to client objectives
  • Working with teams to define a strategic approach to measurement and testing
  • Proactively provide updates on emerging media innovations, opportunities and changing media landscape
  • Growing Business – Seek opportunities to grow existing client scopes and services where relevant. Work on New Business when required.

Your skills and behaviours

  • Previous strategic/media planning experience
  • Accessing and championing collective thinking from across the agency for the benefit of the client
  • Ability to forge excellent relationship with senior clients
  • Strong creative thinker with ability to find new and exciting ways of leveraging the power of media

  • Broad media knowledge, good understanding of analytics and performance-based approaches
  • Strong communication & presentation skills alongside workshop facilitation
