As a Strategy & Engineering Lead within our Strategy & Infrastructure Change Delivery team, you’ll work collaboratively with our business application teams to deliver their Technology roadmap. A unique opportunity to shape this new role, representing strategic activities and an innovative engineering function in the Strategy & Infrastructure Change Delivery Leadership Team.
You’ll be leading the Infrastructure Design community function, proactively improving processes whilst aligning with broader strategies is at the forefront of your work. Consistently driving team capability to ensure infrastructure solutions are resilient, performant, and secure, ensuring quality is never compromised.
As part of the role, you’ll have the opportunity to influence design and governance processes within the bank; driving continuous improvements that streamline our processes, remove blockers, automate, and create efficiency – building the bank of the future. Together we'll make it possible!
The day to day
- Working in partnership across multiple platforms and functions, representing our team to understand, influence and communicate a clear strategic direction
- Provide Major programme initiation support, enabling new customer requirements with customers, connectors and Security Engineering for very large scale & complex deliveries
- Partner with BU Connectors and Business Platforms to ensure application and infrastructure roadmaps align, whilst driving the transition of standardised infrastructure components to an automated and self-service state
- Drive pivotal initiatives, being the conduit between Connectors and Engineering Leads within the function
- Cultivate our people, by translating the bank’s technical strategy to clear career pathways, with defined development & training based on their needs
What are the essentials you need to demonstrate when applying?
- First-hand experience of leading an Enterprise Infrastructure Architecture / Design function with end-to-end project delivery
- Knowledge of Enterprise IT Systems, Standards and Governance
- You’ll be a strategic problem solver, with an ability to influence and implement ideas
- Experience of senior customer management across multiple business areas
- You're familiar with and passionate about technology
What would also be great to see…
- Experience of technical team leadership and development
- Evidence of when you have proactively influenced governance frameworks within an enterprise organisation
- Previous experience of transitioning standard technology infrastructure
