Duties
  • Provide updated information to facilitate the synchronization and execution of ACP strategic efforts (SE) and other efforts as directed.
  • Assist with identifying and defining problems, conducts analyses, supports the development of alternatives, and provides recommendations and guidance to the Deputy Director or Director as it relates to planning and transformation.
  • Assist in the drafting, staffing and publishing The Army Campaign Plan document among HQDA, ARSTAF, ACOMs, ASCCs and selected DRUs.
  • Confer and coordinate with other concerned staff elements to obtain agreement on actions and data.

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This is a testing designated position. Employee must pass pre-employment drug screening and will be subject to random and periodic testing thereafter IAW AR 600-85.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/ SCI security clearance.



Qualifications

Position may be filled as a temporary promotion or temporary reassignment NTE 2 YEARS by a current permanent Army employee. Temporary promotions or reassignments, for current Army employees, may be extended up to a maximum of five years, and may be made permanent without further competition.

Position may be filled as a term appointment NTE 2 YEARS, if the candidate is not a current permanent Army employee. Term appointments may be extended up to a maximum of eight years. Your appointment will be time-limited.
If you are a current federal employee, or a current Army employee when gaining and losing organizations do not agree to Return Rights, you will be converted from your permanent appointment to the non-status, time-limited appointment. You will not have Return Rights to your current activity.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. GS-13 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: Providing recommendations to leadership on planning and transformation efforts; Preparing briefings to present to senior leaders; and Developing reports and documents such as strategic documents. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12)

GS-14 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: Analyzing policies, directives, and/or requirements and its impact on the organization; Developing and reviewing strategic documents; and Advising senior leaders on transformation efforts and resources. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13)

GS-13 Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).

GS-14 Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).

Management may select at any of the grade levels announced. This recruitment provides promotion opportunity to the target grade of the position without further competition when selectee is eligible and recommended by management. Duties described reflect the full performance GS-14 level. If not selected at the full performance, duties will be performed in a developmental capacity under close supervision.

Education
