Join us as a Strategy Analyst

  • We’ll look to you to support the execution of the function strategy’s activities and deliver its product backlog, using Agile tools and techniques to enhance customer outcomes
  • You’ll be providing key analysis and input to the development of the function strategy and support the development of domain specific technology strategies
  • This is an opportunity to gain exposure and build a strong internal network as you work closely with domain teams and the Technology strategy CoE to achieve our business vision and drive customer value

What you'll do

As a Strategy Analyst, you’ll be performing high quality analysis to support the Technology Strategy centre of excellence (CoE) in the development of the overall Technology strategy and contributing to the individual strategic development of the domains. Through working closely with key stakeholders across the function and wider bank, you’ll gain input and support activity to make sure that the strategy is cascaded appropriately.

You’ll be undertaking research, data management and insight analysis to agitate dialogue and decision making across the function, making sure that strategic data quality maintained by the CoE is of a good auditable standard.

You’ll also be:

  • Completing work in the backlog efficiently and reliably while constantly aiming to produce work that delights the customer
  • Providing research and input to executive briefings on external perspectives, including industry trends and competitor activity
  • Researching and bringing together internal and external information to be used for developing executive papers, speeches, communications and working packs
  • Promoting continuous improvement and looking for opportunities to improve the strategy development in line with evolving techniques
  • Helping to improve team and customer performance

The skills you'll need

We’re looking for someone with a strong analytical approach and critical thinking skills. You’ll need experience of conducting business analysis and supporting decisions, ideally in the context of banking and technology, with ability to handle data and produce reports using a variety of data analysis tools. You’ll also have a good understanding of a technology function and the technology landscape of banking.

Additionally, we’ll expect:

  • Excellent writing and presentation skills
  • The ability to produce professional, high quality, infographics such as Visio, Excel and PowerPoint reports
  • A good understanding of Agile methodologies with experience of working in an Agile team
  • A very capable communicator with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to your peers and management level colleagues
  • Good collaboration and stakeholder management skills
