The Account Technology Strategist (ATS) for Education supports a select number of Higher Education customers and the digital transformation of their institution - helping to build effective and efficient institutions both operationally and through teaching & learning delivery to help improve student learning outcomes.
It will require a close and trusted working relationship with institutional CxOs, where you would be expected to positively position the value of a broad range of Microsoft technology platforms and applications to enable our customers to do business in new, disruptive ways to help support the goals of the institution.

Responsibilities
- Generate innovative business insights, orchestrate teams to develop insights, and apply expertise of the customer business in alignment with customer goals.
- Act as the "virtual Chief Technical Officer," providing technical guidance to teams, building and maintaining strong industry and client knowledge, and acting as the voice of the customer (VOC).
- Create mid- to long-term digital transformation roadmaps while ensuring the execution of technological strategy, providing analysis of customer needs, and translating customer business objectives to develop technology architecture.
- Lead industry and digital transformation acceleration to identify, create demand, and deliver customer solutions. You drive new opportunities, lead internal teams to accelerate customer digital transformation, and drive conversations regarding the value of Microsoft solutions over competitors.
- Help customer technical specialists sell Microsoft solutions. You map technical customer requirements and business scenarios to Microsoft technology platforms.
- Orchestrate internal teams and local partners to ensure sufficient technical resources for demand generation. You drive account planning to inform quarterly and fiscal objectives. You influence customer technology engagement by engaging technical resources of a customer, partner, and Microsoft towards the customer's digital transformation. You use existing and new readiness resources to support enablement plans for customer technology adoption at the national and regional level
- Understand competitive scenarios in the accounts and plan to grow Microsoft (Revenue, Share & usage) whilst providing effective and efficient solutions.
- Help our customers understand the impact of emerging technologies and inspire adoption of these technologies to enable a platform for positive business change and genuine transformation for their customers.
- Be a Change Agent internally and externally. Question traditional approaches to technology solutions and be an advocate for doing things differently and more effectively to inspire our customers.
Qualifications
The ability to translate business outcomes to technical solutions and articulate that to a technology, or business leader in an impactful and way- Track record of holding positive senior level relationships and influencing at senior technical levels within an organisation
- Proven orchestration skills within technology and business teams
- Strong technical foundation, well versed in coaching a customer or stakeholder through a technical envisioning or roadmap conversation (Business and Technology)
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Cloud Services would be preferable
- Technical sales experience or equivalent experience within a customer
- Education / Public Sector industry knowledge and experience either as a customer, or as a supplier is desired but not essential.
