Job description
An exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint a permanent Strategic Housing and Commissioning Officer in the Community Services directorate, as the existing incumbent moves to pastures new.
As the post holder, you will work in a small, dynamic team designing, procuring and commissioning a range of contracts and important services, working across teams and directorates and with outside stakeholders. You will also ensure that all contracts are robustly managed and performing in accordance with contractual obligations, delivering value for money, and ensure that programmes and projects are administratively supported and delivering on their aims and objectives, in accordance with Project Management frameworks.

We are looking for a motivated and driven individual, who can work both collaboratively and under their own initiative to support the team. You should have excellent communication and organisational skills, with an ability to meet deadlines, and work to a high degree of accuracy with limited supervision. You will be a competent IT user and an understanding of corporate mainframe systems would be an advantage when processing financial and invoicing duties.
The role will involve working across the housing service and include data analysis and performance monitoring of service providers. You will accurately manage the input, output and presentation of data, plan and contribute to the effective contracting and procurement processes used by the team. The ability to work from home will be an advantage, but equally on occasions, you will be expected to travel and work across the county.
