Job Summary:
Wesco International, a leading provider of business-to-business distribution, logistics services and supply chain solutions, recently announced the formation of the Wesco Data Center Solutions group to provide customers with a wider range of services and solutions, including comprehensive data center life cycle management. As part of the evolution from Wesco’s recent acquisition of Rahi Systems Holdings, Inc., a leading provider of global hyper scale data center solutions, the new team brings together complementary technologies, solutions and services on a global scale to support Wesco’s hyper scale and multi-tenant data center customers. With the formation of this new group, the WDCS team has a number of new openings servicing our Hyper scale Data Centre customer in Ireland & the UK.
Candidates should have the following attributes and experience in:
  • Building an effective account strategy to develop key strategic Hyperscale Data Centre client relationship(s).
  • Developing and managing profitable sales growth using an advanced level of sales skills, industry knowledge and business acumen.
  • Strengthening and maintaining contact with account(s) at a high, often executive level, focusing on the strategic nature of the relationship.
  • Managing sales activities for named accounts rather than an assigned territory.
  • May be a team leader and/or provide professional leadership and coordination for a team supporting key strategic accounts.
  • Accountable for the execution of the Hyper scale strategic account plans.
  • Managing or may be team leader for a group of experienced Strategic Account Managers.
  • Managing the joint-strategic account planning process with Strategic Account Managers, Outside Sales Representatives, sales management, and other internal participants.
  • Establish and holds team accountable for annual goals and priorities, with guidance from upper management.
  • Providing guidance on securing new customers/growing existing customers with Global Accounts agreements.
  • Holding regular, scheduled account reviews, identifying and resolving problems.
  • Maintaining productive, long-term relationships with key accounts at the executive level.
  • Creating and implementing new tools and process improvements to support departmental strategy, with support from senior management.
  • Coaches salespeople to sell strategically at the right levels.

Job requirements:
Minimum Required Education-
  • High School Degree or Equivalent
Preferred Eductaion:
  • Bachelors Degree - Sales, Business Administration, Engineering, or relevant field
Required Experience:
  • Strategic sales and/or large account management experience/8+ years
  • Understanding of the Data Centre industry
  • Experience maintaining and developing key relationships/8+ years
  • Proven success in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques, production methods and management of people and resources.
  • Strong verbal, written, analytical, persuasion and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to influence others outside of own level regarding policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Demonstrated leadership, teamwork, and flexibility.
  • Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office.

Preferred Experience:
  • People management and/or large program management/2 years
  • Executive level selling experience, related industry preferred/2 years.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Outside Sales – Work is generally performed in an office environment, but employee may need to travel to customer sites or warehouse facilities. Driving may be required for an extended period of time with frequent stops and starts. Can be exposed to outdoor weather conditions.
PHYSICAL expectations:
Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require standing and walking for up to 10% of the time.
