STORESPERSON/PACKER

The Storesperson/Packer will pack goods securely per shipping
requirements/regulations, ready for dispacthing. They will also assist with the day to
day running of the Stores including moving goods around a busy factory
environment.
For this role you will need to have experience of using a counterbalance forklift. Experience of using a pivot forklift and/or power assisted pedestrian stacker would be an advantage along with holding the necessary Licence(s).
Our ideal candidate will be confident in the use of ICT, whilst having experience of working in a busy engineering environment would be of benefit.
The main duties of the role are:
- Recieve and sign for all deliveries
- Visually inspect all deliveries/parts received
- Book received parts into database and Goods In spreadsheet
- Pick from stock for Blowers and projects
- Load and unload lorries when required
- Safely load and unload lorries with counterbalance forklift when required
- Safely stack and unstack goods in racking (at height) when required
- Package goods per shipping requiements and regulations
- Provide a cricical eye ensuring a final quality check before packing
- Monitor/count all stock usage for ordering as required
- Ensure correct sizes and weights plus any other relevent paperwork is provided to the shipping team as and when required
- Ensure working environment is kept to high housekeeping standards

· Workshop (39 hours per week):
Monday to Thursday - 07.30 to 16.00
Friday - 07.30 to 13.30
