We aim to deliver a first-class service, so as part of your role you will be delivering and collecting parts and components to customers and suppliers. So, an eye for detail and going the extra mile will always help us to our goal.
There may be occasion you will be required to work outside the set hours and if this were the case, we would pay over time at time and half.
Other duties will be to help and support our very busy Goods In/Out area and keeping our loading area safe and clean.
The Role:
- Van Drivers will be required to Deliver orders in a correct and courteous manner.
- Ensure the return of any products from customers fall in line with company procedures.
- Take all steps to prevent damage to company assets, ensure cleanliness of the company vehicle.
- Understand the laws and procedures of van loading and driving.
- Ensure all delivery notes are signed, printed and dated by the customer on receipt of goods.
- Ensure the company Vehicle is road worthy and any defects are reported directly to the line manager.
- Assist Goods In and Out with processing parts.
- Keeping the stores in a tidy and well-presented manner.
- Any other duties set by Stores manager.
- Consider the health and safety, environmental and energy impact of all activities.
- Support the Company’s compliance with the Data Protection Act 2018, following policy and best practice.
Candidate Profile:
- Full drivers clean licence (up to 7.5 tons)
- Experience driving vans.
- Forklift licence
- Customer service skills
- Willing to work outside of normal working hours.
- Eye for detail
- Understanding laws and regulations of vehicle loads and of the road.
- Able to use technology for recording deliveries and reporting back to base.
