Kenway Tyres is the largest tyre wholesaler in the North of Scotland. We supply tyres to local garages, retailers and some major car dealerships whilst also having retail depots of our own in Aberdeen & Dundee. We’ve been a successful part of the local business community for almost 40 years and due to business growth, we are looking to expand our existing team further.
We have an exciting opportunity for the following permanent position based at our Head Office depot at St Machar Drive, Aberdeen.
Stores Person/Driver (Full-time)
The successful candidate will be responsible for moving and controlling stock within our large wholesale warehouse. Primarily tyres and related parts. When needed, you may also be required to deliver to our local customers in one of our fleet of branded vans. You will deliver world class customer service, quickly and efficiently with a smile to get the correct products to our customers fast. The stores Person/Driver will be required to maintain documentation relating to stock counts, movements and customer deliveries and work along side a team of stores people and drivers.
- Applicants must have good organisation skills and have a willingness to learn.
- The successful applicant should be enthusiastic in providing excellent customer service whilst working in a fast-paced environment.
- Ensuring good housekeeping and maintaining a safe and clean working environment will be key.
- Attention to detail and the ability to follow our procedures are the keys to delivering the Kenway service.
- You will be responsible for receiving stock deliveries and checking they are correct and in good condition.
- You will be required to maintain organisation in our warehouse, assigning stock to specific locations and using our warehouse systems to make sure we know the exact location of every item in order to find it quickly.
- You will be required to load delivery vans efficiently and in a set order for the drivers to make their deliveries on time and with ease.
- Occasionally you may be required to assist the delivery drivers during busy periods by completing deliveries to our customers.
- Applicants should be adequately fit and healthy to carry out this role and hold a full UK driving license.
