I. SUMMARY:
The Stores Person/Controller reports directly to the Production Manager and the role is responsible for the Goods Inwards, Despatch (customer and works transfer), pick list kitting, ERP system, Works Order Launch, and movement of goods within the facility. The site is AS9100D approved and requires compliance to strict traceability controls.
II. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Example day to day activities
- Loading & Unloading Goods from transport vehicles (Forklift).
- Recording all in/out deliveries via the internal delivery schedule.
- Arranging domestic deliveries via Transport portals.
- Liaising and ordering consumables via suppliers.
- Preparing/packing products for despatch.
- Unpacking deliveries and preparing for Inspection team.
- Booking products into stock via internal ERP system.
- Kitting of all sub-assembly products for internal production team.
- Maintaining high level control of stock levels & to take part in annual stock-take audits.
- Comply with all safety policies and procedures while actively leading the efforts to create and maintain a Zero Harm workplace culture.
- Support, submit and carry out Good Spot safety reporting (H&S Walks).
- IT skills – High level of skill required e.g., MS word, excel, database etc. Experience with ERP systems desired but not essential.
- Seen as an example for safety, quality, work ethic, and positive communication with team members.
- Liaise as required with other disciplines e.g. Procurement, Production, Engineering, and Management.
- High level computer skills using MS Office packages.
- Able to demonstrate good team working with multi-skilled teams.
- Proven experience in working with others.
- Recognises and exhibits behaviors of the businesses core values.
- Looks for opportunities to help or be of service to other departments.
- Ability to understand and be familiar with Safety regulations/standards in the workplace.
- Good verbal and written skills.
- ERP system knowledge or similar experience.
- Forklift license.
