Stores Assistant North, Level 3 Shifts

£36,928 per annum

About the job:


An opportunity has arisen for a customer focused person to join our stores team at Heaton TrainCare Centre. We are looking for someone who is flexible, enthusiastic and hardworking. You will be dealing with receipts, and issuing train parts and other consumable materials to colleagues within Engineering, to support vehicle availability and reliability targets. Working within the Stores team the job involves issuing materials and calibrated instruments, delivering and receiving of goods, maintaining accurate records, ensuring goods are stored safely and correctly in line with Health and Safety requirements and arranging and undertaking regular stock checks. Materials are controlled via the SAP system so computer literacy and previous experience of SAP would be a distinct advantage as would previous experience of operating a Fork Lift Truck. The job involves working shifts including nights and weekends.
