About this opportunity
Your work environment: We currently have a vacancy for (X2) Storekeepers, reporting to the Warehouse, Stores and Shipping Supervisor, based in Peterborough in the UK.
This is an incredible opportunity to join Crown in a brand-new role and become one of the ‘first feet on the ground’ staff for the new Plant which will produce Beverage Cans, on a continuous shift operation, 24/24, 7 days a week.
The Storekeeper is responsible for controlling the adequacy of the minimum necessary supply of material to guarantee the correct operation of the plant through the efficient management of its supply.
The Storekeeper plays a key role in the spare parts warehouse, supervising the routine activities and monitoring adequacy of the minimum necessary levels of materials which guarantees the correct performance of the plant.
In more details, you will:
- perform daily activity of spare parts warehouse: inventory, goods receipts, service receipts, shipments
- make sure that the stock of materials (machinery, raw materials, working tools…) available in the warehouses of plant is not below the set “minimum stock levels”
- Manage the correct materials request in warehouses of spare parts, auxiliary materials through the supervision of the documentation related to the order forms
- Supervise the correct compliance of delivery times and the availability of stock requested to suppliers, resorting to its claim in the event of default or to the rescheduling of the agreed delivery times
- Develop procedures and regulations to follow, all processes associated with requests for orders and supplies
- Inventory Control
- Update and Maintain information on orders, ROQ / ROL, lots and stock in SAP
About you:
The successful candidate has preferably a Technical Degree or a Bachelor in Engineering, Economics or Supply Chain, with at least 3-5 experience in supply and inventory management or in a purchasing department, preferably in the industrial sector.
A team player, with a safety mind set, you have a hands-on approach when necessary, combined with an excellent knowledge of problem solving and a quality and customer orientation/commercial awareness. You are an effective communicator with good interpersonal and influential skills at all levels
You are computer literate (MS Office, Word, Powerpoint), with advanced Excel and you are familiar with ERP Systems (preferably SAP). English fluent, another language an advantage.
