Job description

• Schedule the activities of staff who prepare, portion and serve food
• Plan, organize and manage the operations of a café
• Give direction of the organization’s vision
• Estimate and order ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation
• Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage
• Recruit, train and manage staff in job duties, and sanitation and safety procedures
• Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards
• Deal with customer’s complaints

• Open and close the restaurant
• Cash management (cash-out, coin box, deposits, reconciliation of receipts)
• Ordering supplies
• Complete various tasks dependent on ability, seniority and division of tasks
• Provide motivation and support to staff members
• Ensure completion of shift responsibilities with respect to cleaning, stocking and equipment maintenance
• General responsibility for running a shift to Trees’ standards
• Ensure the well being and safety of customers and staff
• Customer service:
• Greet customers and provide an offer of service
• Use point of sale system to ring up orders
• Process cash, debit, credit and gift card transactions
• Prepare and serve food and beverage orders
• Ensure the restaurant is continually meeting production demands and standards for food quality and service experience

• Food Service: 1 year (Required)
• management: 1 year (Preferred)
• leadership: 1 year (Preferred)

Education:

• Secondary School (Preferred)

Licence:

• FoodSafe Level 1 (Required)

Salary: $16.44-$30.73 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Vancouver, BC J4Y 0K7: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

• Microsoft Office: 1 year (preferred)
• Retail management: 1 year (preferred)
