An amazing opportunity has arisen to manage a busy pastry retail kiosk at Bullring Shopping Centre in Birmingham.
Responsibilities
As the kiosk manager, you'll be responsible for operational, financial and people management. This includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:
- Organise stock and equipment, order supplies and oversee the kiosk maintenance, cleanliness and security.
- Plan and work to budgets, maximise profits and achieve sales targets set by head office
- Manage, train and develop staff.
- Handle and oversee the monetary takings of the kiosk
- Co-ordinate and manage staff scheduling and rotas, and motivate and encourage staff to achieve targets
- Ensure high standards of hygiene are maintained and that the kiosk complies with health and safety regulations
- Ensure high standards of customer service are maintained
- Implement and instil in your team company policies, procedures and ethics
- Handle customer complaints and queries
- Work with Bullring staff to ensure any shopping centre procedures are followed, including fire safety alerts, etc.
- Implement branded promotional campaigns from head office, including the handling of point-of-sale promotional materials, and devise your own promotional campaigns when required.
- Prepare reports and other performance analysis documentation
- Report to, and attend regular meetings with area managers or head office representatives
- Communicate and work together with stakeholders to ensure the successful and profitable running of the kiosk.
Skills and experience
You will need to have:
- A minimum of 1 year retail management experience (preferably in a food service/retail environment, but not essential).
- Experience and good knowledge of planning staff rotas
- The ability to work well under pressure
- Good commercial experience
- A results-driven approach to work
- Decision-making and problem-solving skills
- The ability to learn quickly
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate people, and carry out disciplinaries if necessary
- Strong communication skills
- Good energy and stamina
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £12.00 per hour
