Job Description

We are looking for an experienced retail manager to lead our store department within a busy and dynamic environment. The successful candidate would be responsible for 20-25 people in both our shop and café teams, with support from supervisors and team leaders. They would be expected to take on responsibility for the daily management of the store as well demonstrating an aptitude for forward planning. The candidate will be responsible for meeting KPIs and ensuring that an exceptional level of customer service is maintained. At busy times, the store manager would be expected to fill any of the roles that they are directly responsible for. For this reason, the successful candidate must be able to adapt, multi-task and cope well under pressure.

Job Roles:

  • Filling in and being responsible for the attendance of the shop team
  • Coordinating in-store events
  • Taking on responsibility for the training and professional development of staff
  • Organising and overseeing the timely completion of operational and maintenance tasks
  • Taking responsibility for the implementation of routines and procedures that ensure compliance in areas such as: health and safety, fire safety and first aid provision
  • Boosting sales through a motivated and customer focused approach

Someone who enjoys working alongside their team and adapting to the changing demands of any given day. Due to the constant development of the business, this job would suit someone who enjoys a challenge, is able to adopt a positive, problem solving approach, and finds reward in seeing their efforts contribute to the success of the business. The role will include administrative tasks, but will also require the individual to be on their feet for much of the day, and so would suit someone who is physically fit and proactive with excellent time management skills. The right candidate will have strong sales skills and an intuitive ability to identify the particular needs of each customer.

Working Conditions

You will be working with a team to complete daily duties, small and large tasks in a modern, purpose built retail environment.

Hours of work

The role would involve between 40-45 hours per week. Days and hours will be confirmed during the interview stage, but will include both a Saturday and a Sunday.

Pay

£35,000 - £37,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
