You must love animals but most importantly, be a quick learner; only those who show true potential will be rewarded with progression. Experience in retail management is essential.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Managing and overseeing all store operations to ensure maximum profitability
- Delivering the best possible customer service to boost sales
- Motivating the team to meet targets through training and mentoring
- Responding to customer complaints, concerns and queries in a helpful and professional manner
- Ensuring the store complies with health and safety regulations
- Creating and arranging promotional material and in-store displays
- Maintaining branch administration and adhering to company policies and procedures
- Monitoring and ordering inventory/stock
- Maintaining superb store cleanliness and visual merchandising standards
- Monitoring staff attitude, behaviour and presentation to ensure a positive reflection of the company’s values
- Training, and assigning responsibilities to sales assistants and supervisors
- Coordinating the store security i.e. possession of store keys or passing possession to trusted staff members. Reporting shoplifting/theft or criminal behaviour/damage immediately to the General Manager or Duty Manager
- Coordinating the daily bookings for in-branch dog grooming
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: From £12.00 per hour
