Job Summary
In 2020 ABG UK consolidated its van offering to our two commercial vehicle hubs in Bathgate and Castleford supported by the wider Airport locations.
This is an exciting opportunity to take a lead role in the operation of a key UK Van Hub at our Castleford location. As a Store Manager, we are looking for an outstanding candidate to take the lead on van operations and account support within this location.
Responsible for the operational excellence and supporting the growth of B2B Van business in line with our UK strategy. This role is an integral role in the growth of the B2B van proposition and an opportunity to manage a key location within the UK business.
Growth in this segment of ABG is aligned with investment and commitment to offering a credible, sustainable and customer driven solution.
Key Accountabilities
Accountability for promoting and building a van business across the M62 corridor.
Integrate new van customers within the UK via the Van Hub, ensuring an excellent customer journey.
Support the commercial vehicle sales team with winning and operating van business/customers across all channels.
Operationally manage van fleet customers and support for the location on all van rental requests.
Deliver outstanding customer service with every customer interaction, both internal and external, to maximise the customer experience.
Monitor own performance, continuous improvement opportunities and deliver improvements so as to optimise performance, utilisation, revenue and costs.
Ensure compliance with business policy & procedure - escalates issues and actions improvement plans where necessary.
Build and manage a strong operational team, growing in line, ensuring strong retention and delivering on key KPI’s
Perform other duties as assigned – particularly the ongoing development of our van proposition, operating structure and sales activity.
Gain understanding on damage and maintenance processes in order to monitor vehicles and ensure that customer journey is maintained in terms of Vehicle Condition and Vehicles Out of Service.
Skills Required
- Not applicable in terms of academic or professional qualifications.
- Work experience and industry knowledge key elements.
- Worked within a similar customer facing operating structure
- Results focused built on self-management and a drive to deliver
- Knowledge of Commercial Vehicles in terms of fleet, sales channels, and competitor insight.
- Proven ability to work autonomously and prioritise
- Strong communications and interpersonal skills
- Accountability for actions and performance
- Performance management of operational based teams
- Understanding of van competitor landscape
- Understanding of business sectors relating to van opportunities
- Account Management skills
- Technical van fleet knowledge across B2B sectors
- Contract delivery, Knowledge of managing metrics and KPI’s
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £30,000.00-£36,000.00 per year
