Store Manager
Assi Market is looking for a Store Manager to join our team!
The Store Manager is responsible for the overall management and operation of the store. They are tasked with ensuring the store runs smoothly, delivering exceptional customer service, achieving sales targets, managing staff, and maintaining inventory levels. The Store Manager ensures the store's profitability, promoting a positive work environment, and upholding the store's reputation within the community.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day operations, including store opening/closing, cash handling, and security.
- Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and visual appeal.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure proper product rotation.
- Recruit, train, and supervise a team of employees.
- Provide excellent customer service and address customer complaints or concerns.
- Analyze sales data, set sales targets, and implement strategies to maximize revenue.
- Develop and execute promotional campaigns and pricing strategies.
- Prepare and manage the store's budget, control operating costs, and monitor profit margins.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food handling regulations.
- Enforce company policies and procedures, conduct store audits, and address compliance issues.
Experience
- Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience in retail management, preferably in the grocery industry.
- Strong leadership abilities and the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers, employees, and suppliers effectively.
- Sound knowledge of retail operations, including merchandising, pricing, and customer service, trends.
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills to address operational challenges and optimize store performance.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple priorities, and adapt to changing circumstances.
- Eligibility to work in Canada (i.e. citizenship, permanent residency, or work visa)
- Ability to speak Korean is a bonus!
