Job description

AG Hotels Group is looking for a passionate and experienced Hotel Reception Manager to oversee our front desk operations at our soon to be acquired property in Peterborough. The hotel will be reopening post temporary closure. As we prepare to welcome guests back, we are seeking dedicated professionals who are committed to delivering exceptional hospitality experiences. As a Hotel Reception Manager, you will be responsible for managing our reception and front of house team and ensuring that our guests receive outstanding customer service and our vision of “Creating Happy Thriving Places” is met.

Your key responsibilities will be as follows:

· Supervise and lead the front desk team, including scheduling, training, and coaching.

· Greet guests and check them into their rooms in a timely and efficient manner.

· Assist with the management of reservations, room assignments, and availability.

· Respond promptly to guest inquiries, requests, and complaints, ensuring complete guest satisfaction.

· Maintain accurate records and reports, including guest accounts, room status, and maintenance requests.

· Assist with the development and implementation of front desk policies and procedures.

· Ensure the front desk area is clean, organized, and well-stocked with supplies.

· Monitor the daily operation of the hotel, including the restaurant and other facilities.

· Liaise with housekeeping, maintenance, and other hotel departments to ensure a seamless guest experience.

· Perform other duties as assigned by the Hotel Manager.

You should have

· Proven experience as a Hotel Reception Supervisor/ manager or a similar role in the hospitality industry

· Excellent leadership, communication, and customer service skills

· Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

· Familiarity with hotel operations, including reservations, billing, and housekeeping

· Proficiency in hotel management software (preferably Rezlynx) and Microsoft Office

· Qualifications in hospitality or related field preferred

Salary: £25,000.00-£27,000.00 per year
