Main duties of the job

To support the patient feeding manager in the organisation of the catering
patient service areas and ensuring that the Patient Feeding Team delivers
the highest possible standards at all times, safely, in budget and on time.

Assist in the allocation of labour and supervision of work. To promote and
develop catering services in order to maximise staff satisfaction and cost
savings within patient feeding.

The post holder will be responsible for the day to day supervision, control, discipline and welfare within the patient feeding area on the Royal Free Hospital site.

  • Qualification in Food Hygiene Level 2 or above
Desirable criteria
  • NVQ level 2 or equivalent experience in catering environment

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Previous experience at a supervisory level of catering supervision in a restaurant / hospitality operation
Desirable criteria
  • Health care or staff restaurant experience

  • Clear and accurate written communication.
  • Effective listening skills.
  • Able to deal swiftly and effectively with a wide range of queries.
