Are you an enthusiastic, customer-focused individual with a keen eye for detail and a passion for thrift shopping? Thrift Factory Nottingham is looking for Store Assistants to join our team. As a Store Assistant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our shop's appearance, assisting customers, and contributing to the overall success of our store.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service: Provide friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable assistance to customers, helping them find the perfect thrifted treasures and answering any questions they may have.

Shop Maintenance: Ensure the shop floor is clean, organized, and visually appealing. This includes restocking shelves, arranging displays, and maintaining an inviting shopping environment.

Hanging and Sorting: Process incoming merchandise by hanging clothing, sorting items, and pricing them accurately, adhering to store guidelines.

Cash Handling: Operate the cash register, handle cash transactions, and process payments accurately.

Inventory Management: Assist in receiving and recording inventory shipments. Keep track of inventory levels and report low stock items to the management team.

Loss Prevention: Monitor the store for any suspicious activities and assist in loss prevention efforts.

Team Collaboration: Collaborate with team members to ensure a seamless shopping experience and efficient store operations.

Qualifications:

Previous retail experience is a plus but not required.

Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.

Detail-oriented and able to maintain a clean and organized workspace.

Enthusiasm for thrift shopping and an appreciation for vintage and unique items.
