We are looking to welcome Store assistants to join our amazing team here at IKEA Glasgow.

Expected Starting Date: 23rd September 2023

Assessment Centre: 6th & 7th September 2023

WHAT WE OFFER
  • £10.90 basic hourly rate
  • Living Wage Foundation Employer

We operate 7 days a week to meet the shopping needs of our customers and have a range of contract sizes available. Store operating hours are 8am-930pm Monday to Friday & 8am-830pm at the weekend.

SALES
12 hours – weekend only
16 hours – variety of shifts including days, evenings & 3 out 4 weekends.
20 hours - variety of shifts, including days, evenings & 3 out 4 weekends.

CUSTOMER RELATIONS
12 hours - weekend only
20 hours variety of shifts, including days, evenings & 3 out 4 weekends.

Weekend working is a requirement of the role, and we will need to be flexible with your shifts which will be discussed at interview.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY
We have vacancies in our Sales & Customer Service teams.

SALES
  • Build loyalty by listening to our customers & using your knowledge of IKEA product range offer informed solutions.
  • Ensure your areas of responsibility are maintained to high standard by keeping it clean, tidy, priced and fully stocked.
  • You ensure that the IKEA basic merchandising standards are in place at all times to give customers a positive shopping experience
  • You actively approach customers to identify their needs and advise them on the best solutions for their life at home through home furnishings.
  • In some departments there will be an element of heavy lifting and using IT equipment such as computers & scanners.

CUSTOMER RELATIONS
  • You aim to create a positive experience for our customers, so they will want to return and shop with us again over time.
  • Build loyalty by listening to our customers & using your knowledge of IKEA product range offer informed solutions.
  • You work together with colleagues in other functions to improve the customer experience.
  • Provide an efficient and accurate checkout/returns experience in the store while working with daily and weekly service targets to drive service delivery.
