Stockyard Forklift Operative
Parkhouse Factory, Parkhouse Industrial Estate, Speedwell Rd, Crackley, Newcastle, ST5 7RZ
Full-time, 39hrs per week

The successful applicant will be a member of a multi-functional production/TPM team aiming to achieve key targets within the departmental environment, thereby helping to deliver Cost, Quality and Efficiency benefits to the Factory.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Loading brick packs on to lorries using a 2 pronged & 4 Pronged counterbalanced forklift truck
- Hand sorting of packs of bricks
- Operation of plant and machinery
- Working to SSOP’s with safe and precise working practices at all times
- General maintenance of equipment
- Packing
- The ability to learn quickly
- Being part of the local TPM team
- Housekeeping in your area of responsibility
- High degree of Health and Safety and environmental awareness
- Help with month end stock taking
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Counterbalanced forklift licence
- Reading and writing ability and able to understand production machinery
- Basic numeric skills
- Flexible and self-motivated working attitude
- Good vision
- Ability to work as part of a team or on your own.
- Good timekeeping and attendance records.
- Team working attitude and good communication skills

Training & Development
Ibstock aims to operate to world-class standards and the successful candidate may be required to commit to a programme of training and development
The initial training may take place at our sites around the UK that utilise similar machinery; therefore, you may be required to stay away from home. We will meet all expenses incurred during your training.
