Warehouse Stock Maintenance & Deliveries Person
Busy local business with strong family values based in Ipswich is currently looking to recruit a Warehouse Stock Maintenance & Deliveries Person into their small but friendly and ambitious team.
You will predominantly be working on your own in the Warehouse with a small but experienced team in the office adjoined. Goods are in and out on a daily basis, it’s a small warehouse unit but very busy and attention to detail is critical due to the amount and variety of the various goods for differing jobs. The Company pride themselves on the fact that they have a low staff turnover and the team enjoy working there.
As a Warehouse Stock Maintenance & Deliveries Person theduties will include:
· Handle all deliveries checking off as you go
· Opening up and closing the warehouse and yard first thing in the morning and at the end of the day
· Basic computer skills, involving the ordering of all consumable and Extras for all jobs
· Keeping a tight control of trim and consumable stock
· Communicating delivery concerns/info to all relevant departments/personnel
· General up keep of the warehouse and yard
· Good telephone manner. Making & answering telephone calls within the service dept and to & from suppliers
· Booking service work appointments and arranging the relevant items for the remedial work / again communicating with the main office
· Ensuring the installers have everything they need for each new job
Skills and attributes required:
· You must have a stable work history.
· Have the ability to think on your feet with the desire to make a real difference in this hands-on role.
· Common sense with a positive, ‘can do’ attitude.
· Strong inter-personal skills to liaise with delivery drivers and internal office staff as well as work independently and as part of the team.
· Attention to detail and ability to plan, prepare and be organised.
· Physically fit and able to lift.
· Full clean driving licence required.
