Stock Assistant Birmingham, England

Birmingham Hippodrome
Full Time Birmingham, England 22672 GBP ANNUAL Today
Job description

Reporting to the Duty Manager and Duty Supervisors, our Stock Assistant will support the daily running and setup of stock for all Visitor Service areas. You will accept and record deliveries, and work to ensure that stock is rotated and that stock losses are kept to a minimum.

As in integral part to the visitor experience, you ensure that our sales areas are kept fully stocked, with appropriate products based on our audience demographic, and that these are presented with flair.

You will ensure a safe working environment by ensuring we comply with all health & safety procedures and standards including licensing laws and food safety standards, keeping our stores and sales areas clean and tidy. The role requires our Stock Assistant to work across all Visitor Services areas including bars, retail, catering outlets and events as and when required, in line with business needs.

You must have experience in processing stock. You will be comfortable in working independently, handling credit card and account sales, completing stock paperwork, physically handling stock, and enjoy working with the public.

The role requires early morning starts to accept deliveries, but as a popular entertainment venue our business also requires working evenings and weekend hours, so you will need to be flexible too.

If successful you’ll be offered an annualised hours contract which will include weekend, Bank Holiday and late-night working.

Recognising under-representation in our workforce of Black, Asian and ethnically diverse people, and those with disabilities, we particularly welcome applicants from those backgrounds, identities and experience.
