I am pleased to inform you that we have an exciting opportunity to recruit for a step 3 CBT lead in the Weymouth and Portland NHS Dorset Talking therapy team (steps 2 Wellbeing) . This will be a band 8a post for 4 days a week.
The role will focus on clinical excellence within the Step 3 Team.
The clinical focus will include but not be limited to :
Responding to clinical queries
Provide Clinical Supervision for both trainees and qualified step 3 therapists
Provide clinical support to both the Step 3 CBT team and the wider S2W team.
The post holder will be fully accredited with the BABCP and hold a CBT supervision qualification. They will report to the Service Manager within the locality.
The post holder will be part of the Dorset ‘Steps to Well-being’ Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) programme. The High Intensity (CBT) Lead will be responsible for working with the Service Manager within the locality to support and manage the high intensity team to ensure that national guidelines are adhered to in line with the national IAPT programme, targets are achieved and that appropriate clinical governance arrangements are in place.
The post holder will primarily oversee clinical quality and outcomes for the service, focusing on the delivery of high quality evidence based high intensity treatments; individual and group
work programmes, and specialist Long Term Conditions treatment. The post holder will provide high intensity CBT interventions as recommended by NICE and in line with the IAPT Roth & Pilling (2007) Competency framework for clients who present with a range of complex Anxiety and Depression related problems.
To provide individual and group supervision and support to high intensity therapists and trainees and other clinical members of teams who provide psychologically based care and treatment and provide consultation to non-IAPT colleagues as appropriate.
To support the Service Manager in implementing and evaluating service development initiatives. To deputise for the Service Manager
