Job description
£12.07 per hour plus quarterly bonus, Sheffield, Temporary long term opportunity, shifts over a 6 week period, typically 2 days and 2 nights per week, Immediate Start, Free car parking, Weekly Pay, 28 days paid annual leave (increasing after time) excellent overtime rates and the benefit of working for a worldwide engineering business.
We have multiple opportunities available for Steel Packers at a global manufacturing company whom have received massive investment in 2023 and have an extremely healthy order book moving forward. This is an exciting time to join a well established company that have future growth plans.
Reporting into the Operations Manager you will be working as part of a medium sized finishing team. Working as a Steel Packer you will benefit from working as part of a longstanding and very close knit team. Your day to day duties as a Steel Packer will be;
Cutting and packing re bar
Overhead crane operation
Driving FLT Counterbalance
Updating basic IT systems with order information
Maintaining a safe and clean working environment
Adhering to Health and Safety procedures at all times
Previous experience of overhead crane operation and or FLt experience would be advantageous but full training will be provided for the right candidate. You must have basic IT skills to input a basic level of data onto the internal IT system.
This role would suit someone who has worked as a steel operative, steel worker, team member or overhead crane operator within an engineering, manufacturing, steelworks or steel stockholders business.
This role comes with an expansive benefits package including;
£12.07 per hour
Quarterly bonus paying upto 20% based on company targets.
Bonus figure for first quarter equated to approx £800
28 days holiday
Potential to lead to a permanent position for the right candidate
Monday - Friday working 12 hour shifts days and nights across a 6 week rota. Averages at 40 hours per week, some weeks including 3 x 12 hr shifts and others including 4 x 12 hour shifts
