Job description
Mane Contract Services is looking for a Steam Boiler Operator on a contract to permanent basis.
To undertake planned and reactive maintenance on biomass steam heating systems and associated equipment. To undertake routine maintenance, troubleshooting, installation, and repair works as required. To facilitate the supply of biomass fuel, testing and handling of fuel on site.

To undertake planned and reactive maintenance on biomass steam heating systems and associated equipment. To undertake routine maintenance, troubleshooting, installation, and repair works as required. To facilitate the supply of biomass fuel, testing and handling of fuel on site.
Responsibilities
- Facilitating the Fuel supply to site, receiving stock, testing and recording results
- Utilising Tele-Handler on site to move supplies
- Monitoring feed water and emissions quality
- Testing and handling of fuel on site
- Undertake planned maintenance, attendance, testing and record keeping
Requirements
- Completed Boiler operation accreditation scheme (BOAS) qualification
- Experience in working on heat and steam generating plant
- Experience on working with Biomass Boilers and Fuel
- Mechanical and Electrical experience in engineering
- Experience in LTHW and steam systems including pumps, valves, hydraulics, controls and steam generating plant
- CSCS / CPCS Telehandler card
