TRAIN DISPATCH ROLE

Provision of a high standard of customer service to the travelling customers. Train dispatch, ensuring services depart at the scheduled time. Provision of information to customers when required.
An enthusiastic individual with excellent communication/interpersonal and customer service skills. Should have a flexible approach to work and be a good team worker. Ability to remain calm and deal with customers in times of disruption.
Flexibility is essential to meet shift requirements as role covers Monday - Sunday with early starts and late finishes. Ideally you will have customer service experience. The relief post will have a contractual commitment to work, when required by the company up to a maximum of 13 Sundays per calendar year.
Hours of work: 35-hour week. Reference Salary: £26,876 per annum. Training salary £19,993 per annum.

Selection process: Candidates short-listed will be invited to attend an assessment centre. Candidates successful after assessment will be invited to attend an interview. The final stage for successful candidates will be a medical examination and drugs/alcohol screening. Appointees must provide a basic disclosure Scotland check and at least 2 satisfactory references and complete a six-month probation period.
Training: Training initially involves a 2-day Induction training programme
Medical Fitness: Due to the nature of the post and rail industry safety requirements there are certain medical & fitness standards that you would require to meet.
