Across the UK we work collaboratively with strategic partners and networks in the tech ecosystem to support businesses to scale and grow.

Key Roles and Responsibilities
  • Embed yourself amongst the local entrepreneurial ecosystem and work collaboratively as part of a national team to act as a conduit to connect businesses to the relevant part of the wider firm
  • Support the Emerging Giant Team Managers to build strong relationships with the aligned organisations, working together to drive activity and value to the community members. In particular, support on our relationship with the University of Nottingham and spinout businesses from their innovation hub. This will include but is not limited to working with key KPMG experts to schedule and deliver masterclasses, engaging with local ecosystem players and understanding their needs of KPMG and onboarding Emerging Giant businesses.
  • Support the Emerging Giant Team Managers and the local Office Senior Partners across the Midlands to build strong relationships with key target businesses in the community. This may include conducting on-boarding meetings, supporting businesses through their growth ambitions, helping to guide business thinking and referring in specialist support as appropriate to underpin this
  • Spending time on the ground at the University, and the local KPMG office, ensuring both parties are delivering against the partnership actions and agreement.
  • Being the first point of contact for the equivalent Partnership Manager at the University and working closely with them to deliver value.
  • Organise and assist KPMG events in your entrepreneurial ecosystem, to include: internal events, business growth workshops and maintaining a calendar of events to build momentum and create communities
  • Build out market knowledge and an understanding of the scale-up lifecycle and apply this to bolster our presence and success in this part of the market, taking responsibility for:
  • Development and promotion of KPMG activity in local entrepreneurial ecosystems, to include measurement of impact, tracking of recipients and so on
  • Adapting our materials to be "social media friendly" and easy to share
  • Creating and enhancing links with relevant colleagues throughout KPMG, enabling sharing of best practices, materials, credentials etc
  • Conducting research into trends in scale up activity, fundraising and development of the Leeds entrepreneurial ecosystem.
  • Maintain target lists and monitor progress against agreed goals
  • Attend external meetings and networking events and take ownership for follow-up actions. Timely and complete CRM management.
  • Personally assist with the development of those relationships where KPMG has no existing relationships. Develop peer to peer relationships with client staff and procurement teams
  • Co-ordinate client relationship events and ensure return on investment is measured through deepened relationships and increased opportunity for KPMG to work with the client
  • Develop personal network to identify and build relationships with regional influencers by attending events, hosting internal sales meetings and managing Client Service Teams (CSTs), sharing best practice and seeking opportunities to raise profile externally
