Sr. Software Engineer (Innovation) - UK

SamCart is looking for an innovative, dedicated, and experienced Software Engineer to join our growing UK Innovation Engineering team focused on our new application for AI-assisted, generative design.
In this role, you will design, implement, test, and release new features. Using modern tools and methodologies, you will leverage deep technical knowledge to ensure simplicity, changeability, and longevity in our codebases.
Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and deploy features across the application stack.
- Follow best practices like test-driven development, refactoring, and simple design.
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, and testers to ensure features achieve business goals and meet usability and experience standards.
- Pair effectively with other engineers to deliver high-quality code.
- Author technical documentation for workflows and processes.
Qualifications
- Expertise in modern software development with React, and Next.js (preferably using TypeScript)
- Expert ability to structure and work with complex CSS highly desirable
- Expert knowledge of multiple programming languages (such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Java etc.)
- Experience at an early stage startup or other high paced environment preferred
- Experience developing and deploying software in a containerized environment.
- At least 3-5 years of professional experience building software applications leveraging web application frameworks.
