OUR IMPACT
The Inventory Management Engineering team is focused on improving the revenue of the division by maximizing the efficiency of our funding & settlement flows, as well as enhancing the decision process related to new funding trades.
In this role, you will join a global team of engineers, participating in the creation and development of collateral optimization platforms & relevant trading strategies for the Global Banking & Markets division and building key components which allow us to finance the firm efficiently. We aim to develop these tools to be more efficient and accurate, whilst also promoting better transparency and accountability in the decision making process.
We work closely with multiple teams, including Corporate Treasury, Prime Services and the Synthetics Product Group (SPG) team who provide clients with equities financing and securities lending services.
Responsibilities
As part of our team, you will participate in projects to continue building new applications. Our team members:
- Participate in the development of financing optimization strategies. Write code which is directly linked to significant business actions.
- Partner with traders and other engineers to build a framework allowing us to develop new trading strategies more efficiently and adapt to changing business landscape.
- Impact our business by improving our overall revenues & trading efficiency.
- Coordinate the analysis, troubleshooting, and resolution of issues in our software and the broader infrastructure
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors, Masters, or PhD in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering or similar subject.
- Strong programming skills, including clear understanding of algorithms and data structures.
- Strong quantitative skills with knowledge of mathematical optimisation & operational research.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
- Comfortable managing multiple stakeholders, driving consensus and influencing outcomes.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience building tools used by traders and structurers.
- Knowledge of the prime brokerage business.
- Experience working with large distributed systems and multi-threaded applications.
