Essential Duties, Critical Success Factors, Responsibilities, Authorities and Required Interactions:
Responsible for both the short-term and long-term strategic leadership of all aspects of HR management for the Regional Commercial Team in EMEAI Region (Europe, Middle East, Africa, India). The incumbent will serve as an advisor and counsel to their regional leadership teams to help them achieve their business goals through effective HR strategy and practice and provide human resource guidance as needed for effective decision-making. They will be responsible for providing leadership and direction to the local Human Resource teams supporting the organization in the acquisition and development of talent as well as creating and maintaining a highly productive and engaging work environment. They will serve as a member of the Global HR leadership team, leveraging the work and support of common Human Resource systems, tools, and processes. In addition to supporting the strategic needs of the Regional Commercial Team, they will also provide localized HR support for all Global Functional Leaders and Associates within their region, partnering with the Global HR Team in a matrixed fashion. The leader is a proven strategic human resource business partner, with an excellent sense of operations, as well as commercial activities and an appreciation for the interplay between the two.
Primary Areas of Responsibility:
HR Leadership/Partnership
Partner with assigned leadership team(s) to identify and address the critical needs of the business and achieve goals that support a long-range people strategy. Support global and regional HR initiatives designed to build a compliant, competitive and cost-effective HR function; lead HR processes, initiatives and day-to-day activities; partner with business leaders on planning and implementing reorganizations, reductions-in-force and culture/change initiatives; manage special HR projects to achieve desired outcomes and participate on project teams as assigned; manage HR programs and identify key HR metrics to analyze and solve business problems that impact organizational effectiveness (improve productivity, reduce cost, increase retention/engagement, and increase profitability). Identify and solve complex, operational and organizational problems leveraging the appropriate resources within or outside the department.
Talent Management
Partner with business leaders and Global HR partners / Centers of Excellence to ensure effective and timely Talent Acquisition, Performance Management, Talent Reviews, Succession Planning, & Talent Movement; ensure an effective on-boarding process to promote new hire productivity; partner with business leaders on initiatives that engage associates and promote retention of key talent.
Engagement
Partner with business leaders on initiatives that engage Associates and promote retention of key talent; foster constructive associate relationships across the global organization; understand associate needs and facilitate effective communication channels between leaders and Associates; sponsor and drive events and programs designed to increase employee engagement; consult with and advise the business on performance management and risk assessments on employee relations; drive a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace.
Total Rewards
Partner with Global and Regional HR partners and leaders on effectively leveraging and implementing total reward programs and processes including merit review, equity planning, bonus planning, promotions, and special adjustments.
Employee Relations/Compliance
Ensure compliance with local employment law; Comply with all corporate and local policies including Ethics & Compliance Program; Assure associate data and records are accurately maintained and timely local plan administration; Work with global compliance team to assign investigators to hotline reports. Confer with and advise business managers on disciplinary process and risk assessment on employee relations and performance related issues.; Advise on global ER matters. Conduct investigations on hotline reports as vital. Liaison with DHR Employment Counsel.
Regional HR Support
Serve as subject matter expert for all regional HR actions for all functions within assigned region. Manage local Employee Relations and Talent Acquisition processes as well as HR Operations/Administration. Work with Labor & Employment Labor experts to provide expert support to the business leaders. Partner with other HR Leaders to advise on talent and organizational strategies, planning and execution.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related discipline, solid HR experience, focusing on at least one of the following business partnering, succession planning, engagement, leadership development, diversity, organizational development or coaching, supporting executive leaders preferred.
- Master’s Degree preferred.
- Working knowledge of local employment law and workers councils.
- Demonstrated experience in utilizing continuous improvement best practices.
- Broad understanding of the technical and functional components of human resources, including talent acquisition, talent management, organizational design/development, succession planning, leadership development, compensation; compliance; planning; M&A due diligence and integration, employee communications; training and development and employee relations.
- Proven ability to operate in a matrixed environment.
- Business Knowledge – includes value added perspective, financial awareness and cost control, industry knowledge with exempt and non-exempt workforces, strategic focus, diverse business experience.
- Strong command of Microsoft Office products: PowerPoint; Excel, Word; Experience with HR Information Systems.
